You know pretty well that the Internet isn’t exactly an anonymous place. People with the right know-how can track your browsing, location and some can even steal your personal or financial data. VPN is the best answer to these problems and will help you stay secure, private and anonymous on the Internet.
In this article, we’ll be showing you how to install CyberGhost on your Mac OS.
Choosing the subscription
CyberGhost VPN has several pricing options available. This is great because there is something for everyone. CyberGhost has some very good pricing plans that are quite cheap.
Once you’ve selected the option you wish, made the purchase and registered an account, you’re just a few easy steps away from enjoying secure connections and full anonymity.
Now that you’ve completed the registration process, you will need to download the setup for CyberGhost.
Download CyberGhost VPN
Go to your account and log in with the created account credentials. Then, click on the 'My Devices' and on a big plus to add a new device. Choose Mac OS and the download will begin automatically.
Once your download is complete, you should have a .dmg file. Open the .dmg file that you’ve downloaded and let it mount the image. When it is done, a new window will pop up.
Install CyberGhost VPN
All you have to do is drag the yellow CyberGhost icon onto the Applications folder (MacOS might ask you for your credentials as well as if you want to run a program from the Internet).
Click on Open, and if it asks for user authentication, just enter your MacOS username and password, and hit OK.
It will automatically copy over all the files and after a couple of seconds, the app will be available for use from the Launcher.
Connect and use
Enter your username and password which you created while you were registering for the service. After that, the program will switch to the premium mode and enable the needed features for your account. In order to connect to the service, click on the yellow Power-on button in the bottom of the UI.
You can also manually select the country and location you wish to connect to, otherwise, the program will make an automatic location selection.
A message will pop up saying that you are now protected as well as the name and the location of the server you’re connected to, plus some interesting stats.
